The lean-to shelter is located on the edge of Sikarämäkkä bog on a hard-earth cape. There is a small sign pointing to the lean-to shelter on Keevelintie; the route is about a kilometre long. The path goes through pine barren and crosses a swamp along duckboards. About 600 metres of the route is on forest path, and the rest of the way is on the duckboards. The lean-to shelter itself is located in a fine place, and there is always fire wood ready at the lean-to shelter.
