Aumakivi

Lauhanvuori National Park – Aumakivi Rock

The Aumakivi Rock, with its moss, is a large round boulder in the middle of the forest – like a giant’s tennis ball.  On the lower slopes, the sandstone that otherwise prevails at Lauhanvuori is replaced by granite. The Aumakivi Rock and the nearby Aumakalliot are the remaining nuclei of the eroded bedrock, also known as tors.

The Lauhanvuori destinations are also destinations of the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark.
