Kaivolampi is a small pond in the Lauhanvuori National Park. Near Kaivolampi, there is another pond called Ahvenlampi, which is currently located inside the reindeer breeding enclosure.
There is a campfire place and a camping area by the Kaivolampi pond. There is a small pier by the pond, where you can go for a swim. Firewood is supplied and there is even a frying pan, a coffee pot, and a kettle on the wall of the wood storage room. There is a latrine near the campfire place.
The route to Kaivolampi passes by a reindeer husbandry area that is now empty. The pens are empty because the forest reindeer have now been released into the nature. The area in home to a population of around 40-50 forest reindeer.
The Lauhanvuori destinations are also destinations of the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark.
