The lean-to is also a good starting point for cycling and hiking trips. It is 2.4 km from the lean-to shelter to the Sivi cottage, 2.1 km to Iso-Kakkori, and 3.6 km to Kakkori. The paths are marked with blue sticks. The path towards Iso-Kakkori starts along the forest road.
