{"id":6755,"date":"2021-09-22T14:06:29","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T11:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visitsuupohja.fi\/?post_type=kohteet&#038;p=6755"},"modified":"2024-06-11T13:09:06","modified_gmt":"2024-06-11T10:09:06","slug":"lauhavuori-national-park-pirunkierros","status":"publish","type":"kohteet","link":"https:\/\/visitsuupohja.fi\/en\/kohteet\/lauhavuori-national-park-pirunkierros\/","title":{"rendered":"Lauhavuori National Park \u2013 Pirunkierros"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pirunkierros trail will get you acquainted with the ancient sandstone formations of Lauhanvuori, the beaches, and the development of marshes.<\/p>\n<p>Right at the starting point is the biggest stone field in Lauhanvuori, the \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/visitsuupohja.fi\/en\/kohteet\/lauhavuori-national-park-kivijata-stone-field\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kivijata Stone Field<\/a>.\u00a0The Pirunkierros trail passes by the <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsuupohja.fi\/en\/kohteet\/lauhanvuoren-kansallispuisto-leikkistenkangas-lean-to-shelter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leikkistenkangas lean-to shelter<\/a>, well, and dry latrine. There is also a well at the Leikkistenkangas rest area, but we recommend boiling the water, as it is not sampled. Bring your own latrine paper.<\/p>\n<p>Pirunkierros is a 4.5 km long circular trail that is signposted and intended to be followed clockwise. Making a detour to the <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsuupohja.fi\/en\/kohteet\/lauhanvuori-national-park-aumakivi-rock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aumakivi Rock and Aumakalliot<\/a>, near the Kivajata Stone Field, adds about 2 km to the length.
