Just over 100 steps up, at the top of the tower, you can see a breathtaking landscape. There are boards with information about the area at the top of the tower.<\/p>\n<p>The previous Lauhanvuori observation tower was destroyed in a fire in 2002, and the current one was built in the same place in 2004. The observation tower is a good place to start a hike on the circular routes, or to start your geobike cycling, and in snowy winters a skiing track passes right next to the car park. There are a few groups of tables in front of the tower, where you can sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch.<\/p>\n<p>The car park has good signs to Lauhanvuori and its surroundings, as well as the Geopark. There is a latrine near the tower.
