At the turning point, the locomotive was turned around with manpower, using sticks. In 1911, a locomotive garage was built from logs at the end of the turn, and the locomotive was moved into the garage over the turntable.<\/p>\n<p>Kaskinen had its own locomotive \u201cKaskinen&#8217;s ram\u201d. For example, this locomotive needed a turntable because it only ran from Kaskinen to Per\u00e4l\u00e4 and back.<\/p>\n<p>There were as many as eight tracks. Three passenger trains had their own tracks, three freight trains had their own tracks, and then there were tracks for the loading dock and the turntable.<\/p>\n<p>You can easily access the train turntable even with strollers, but the turntable is not fenced in any way. It&#8217;s important to exercise special caution in the vicinity of the railway track and the turntable, and refrain from climbing onto the structures.
